Turkey & Chestnut Gravy

Serves: 4People

Total cooking time hour and 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • Turkey dripping from roasted turkey
  • 1 cup chestnuts, roasted and peeled
  • 4 cups turkey or chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • salt and paper to taste

Instructions

Step: 1 Take a saucepan, and liquefy the butter over normal heat. Mix in the flour to make a roux.
Step: 2 Cook the roux for a few minutes till it turns golden brown.
Step: 3 Slowly stir in the turkey or chicken stock, making sure to make it lump-free.
Step: 4 Add the turkey sprinkling and chestnuts to the saucepan and bring it to boil gently.
Step: 5 Cook for 10 minutes, stirring at times, till the gravy thickens.
Step: 6 Taste with salt and pepper to taste.Dish out hot over roasted turkey.
