bread sauce

🍽Serves: 8 persons

to make bread sauce you need
  • 600ml milk
  • 50g butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 6 cloves
  • 6 peppercorns
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 thyme springs
  • 100g white breadcrumbs
  • 4 tbsp single cream or mascarpone
  • pinch nutmeg freshly grated

instructions

Cook gently the milk, butter, onion, cloves, peppercorns, garlic, and herbs in a pan for 20 mins.
Strain and return the liquid to the pan, then add the breadcrumbs and cook for 3-4 mins.
Whisk in the cream or mascarpone. Add nutmeg, and flavour, and serve. Can be made up to 3 days in
advance and heated up on the hob or microwave on Medium for 3 mins, Ready To Serve.
