mamaw’s Chicken and Rice casserole

My Grandmother got it from a lady from a long time ago! She passed it down to my mom and it’s always been a family favorite. I always put the full stick on top (gotta love Southern ladies and their butter!)

Ingredients
mamaw’s Chicken and Rice casserole method
Step: 1 Assemble all ingredients, then preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease the sides and bottom of a casserole tray.
Step: 2 In the prepared casserole dish stir the chicken, water, rice, cream of chicken soup, cream of celery soup, and cream of mushroom soup together, and season with the salt and pepper.
Step: 3 Arrange the butter equally over top of the chicken mixture.
Step: 4 Now bake it in the preheated oven for 1 hour to 75 minutes till the rice is tender and chicken is cooked through. Let it cool for about 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
