Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 2 (15-ounce) cans pinto beans
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • salt to taste
  • ½ lime, juiced

Step: 1 Put a heavy skillet over medium heat and heat the canola oil.

Step: 2 Then cook garlic cloves in hot oil for 4 to 5 minutes, turning once, till brown on both sides. With a fork shatter the garlic cloves in the skillet.

Step: 3 Now stir to mix in pinto beans, cumin, chili powder, and salt into mashed garlic and then cook them for about 5 minutes, till the beans are thoroughly heated. Stir at times.

Step: 4 With the help of a potato masher mash the bean mixture to the desired texture. Then squeeze lime juice over mashed beans and keep stirring till it is combined, serve and enjoy.
