Step: 1 Place the chicken in a cold pot, and turn the heat to medium, cook and stir till the chicken is cooked but not crisp.
Step: 2 Now mix in the onion; cook and stir for about 5 minutes, till the onion turns golden and translucent.
Step: 3 Then stir in the garlic and cook for about 2-3 minutes. And then add the chicken stock and turn the heat to medium-high. Stir to mix in oregano, cayenne, and salt. Add black beans and water. Drive it back to a simmer.
Step: 4 Gently boil on medium-low, stirring at times for around 20-30 minutes. While it’s cooking, to thicken the soup mash almost half of the beans.
Step: 5 Add salt to taste, Stir in black pepper and cumin.
Step: 6 To make the relish keep stirring together minced green onion, sambal paste, and lime juice.
Step: 7 Garnish and serve with relish, chopped green onions, and sour cream, enjoy.
