quick and easy vegetable beef soup

Make this vegetable beef soup with tomatoes that’s quick, easy, and tasty! This may use 2 pounds of lean beef or 2 pounds of lean turkey. Serve it with cornbread or Ritz® crackers!

Ingredients
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 2 (28-ounce) cans of diced tomatoes
  • 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder (such as Lawry’s®)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons sea salt, or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon finely ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 3 ½ teaspoons beef base (such as Better Than Bouillon®)
  • 2 (12 ounces) packages of frozen mixed vegetables

Step: 1 Take a large pot and heat over medium heat. Then cook and stir into ground beef and ground turkey in the pot for 7 to 10 minutes till completely browned. Now stir the onion into the meat mixture, continue to cook, and stir for about 5 minutes till the onion becomes translucent. Drain the fat from the pot and put it back to medium heat.

Step: 2 Then spill into the pot the water and tomatoes. Season the soup with garlic powder, sea salt, basil, and black pepper. Stir in the beef base through the soup. Then add in the pot the frozen mixed vegetables, now stir.

Step: 3 Drive the soup to a boil, lessen the heat to low, and cook, stirring at times for about 20 to 30 minutes till the vegetables are now cooked through. Serve!
